A new 2016 Christmas rock track has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of getting attention and exposure for the Phuket charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket site .
The songs title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo song since then waiting for the possibility to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used session musicians to record the song durring a 6 week period. The songs contains 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA because of Mark wanted the best outcome and quality. The track is now ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main aim of recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then hopefully in-turn they will be good enough to help to at least one or every one of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
One other main goal is to get enough downloads of the song to help fund and create a Phuket live music club with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, which will offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the area’s schools and orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ is not open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to promote his track Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and . On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to help including a Thailand Accommodation and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every cent helps.
