A brand new 2016 Christmas rock song has been written, composed then recorded inside a Phuket studio room in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main purpose of bringing awareness and experience the Phuket Charities and Orphanages that Mark supports.
The tunes name is: ‘I’m returning home for Christmas’ and also the songs genre is an unique up-tempo Rock/POP song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo guide of ‘I’m coming back home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has had the demo guide ever since then looking forward to this opportunity to record.

In August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used session musicians to record the song over the 6 week period. The songs contains 8 separate tracks and all session musician come from the Philippines, such as lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’. Though ‘I’m Coming Home For recording studio phuket was studio documented on Phuket the mixing, engineering and mastering was done in the us as a result of Mark wanted the best result and quality of sound. The song is able to be heard and downloaded by going to the Tsunami Day website.
The main objective of recording ‘I’m Returning For Christmas’ would be to bring as many people to the ‘Tsunami Day’ website as is possible, and then hopefully in-turn they shall be kind enough to give to 1 or all of the Phuket charities and also download the song.
The other absolute goal is to find enough downloads of the song to fund and hang up up phuket recording studio with open stage and recording / teaching studio on Phuket, that will offer free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children through the local schools and orphanages. Thus far ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the website is below (QingTing means: ‘Dragon Fly’ in Chinese if you’re wondering)
About: Mark set-up the ‘Tsunami Day’ website to promote his song ‘Tsunami Day’ which has been inspired from his own personal experiences when i was residing in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’ the song ‘Tsunami Day’ also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. For the ‘Tsunami Day’ web there is certainly numerous methods to help such as a Phuket Hotels and cheap flights to Thailand and Asia booking system. Every penny helps.
Credits: Mark would want to thank his sponsors: ‘Michael Dietvorst’ ( Who owns Oriental Living, Phuket ), ‘Stuart Baker’ ( Managing Director of Food Hygiene Asia ), ‘Alan Cooke’ (MBE), ‘Adam Goodman’ ( General Manager of Two Chefs Restaurants on Phuket ) and ‘Cassius Rolfe-Johnson’ (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
