In 1872, the mansion generally known as Paxton Manor was internal the northeast portion of Leesburg, Virginia and known at that time as Carlheim. It had been built by Pennsylvania resident Charles Paxton, after whom the house is now named. The dwelling is an impressive 20,000 sq ft and was included on the National Register of Historic Places by 1979.

Using the haunted house props and setup scares aside, the house is well-known if you are a very haunted location, and this is one good reason why the haunted house events and tours are really terrifying. The site does make it precise that visitors must enter completely in their own risk.
