In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used session musicians to studio record the music durring a six week period. The track contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA because of Mark needed the most effective result and quality. The track is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The key purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then we hope in-turn they will be good enough to donate to at least one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
Another main goal is to be able enough downloads of the tune to help fund and setup a Phuket live music cafe with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, that’ll provide free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s schools and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open right now but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to advertise his song Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and . On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there is numerous ways to help including a Thailand Hotel and budget flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
