The Properties And Advantages of Argan Oil

There are plenty of different lotions and potions open to maintain nice hair and skin these days it’s challenging to choose the best one. For a visit into the local drugstore, you will be greeted by row after row of shelves packed with various products, all promising to operate wonders and make miracles. I think the sole strategy for finding out which merchandise is best for your needs is always to experiment and try yourself. One among my favourites that I have been using for quite a while might be argan oil.

Sometimes called ‘liquid gold’, it is a natural product, purchased from the kernels in the argan tree that’s indigenous to Morocco. It is usually used as a moisturiser plus in products to tend nice hair. The reason is , the fact the oil includes a high nutrient content which is full of essential fatty acids, anti-oxidants and e vitamin that’s vital for healthy skin and hair. Additionally it is renowned to make hair soft, silky and shiny and to produce wild hair more manageable. Other reported great things about argan oil for hair range from the promotion of healthful hair growth, prevention of scalp dryness and itching and also the restoration of dry and damaged hair. Like a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it’s used as an epidermis moisturiser which could benefit dried-out skin in particular. It is also famous for it’s anti-ageing properties and many advocates of argan oil have stated how it helps their skin conditions like acne and eczema. I have used best oils for dry skin to help treat dry skin in my elbows and knees and yes it did wonders to me and left my skin beautifully soft and smooth without having irritation.

As a result of it’s benefits, celebrities including Jennifer aniston, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are all users of argan oil to help you take care of their head of hair and skin. It’s even starting to come in mascara formulas as it is claimed it will help to produce your lashes longer and much more lustrous. My locks are very dry and has a wiry texture (it almost feels like fine fishing line) and the oil in it’s pure form really helps to add moisture and softness to my hair. Even if you’re lucky enough to have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a fairly final touch to provide extra gloss and shine.

Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hairdressing products and skincare products containing argan oil is simple, due to the oil’s rarity they are offered in a relatively high price. When i discussed earlier, the oil is extracted from the argan tree that is present in southern Morocco. The original method of extracting the oil was to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack these phones reveal the kernels then to crush them to release their oil. The task ended personally and took fifteen hours of labour and thirty two kilograms of fruit to make just one litre of oil! Nowadays the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… which means the high price. However, fortunately just a little oil goes further.

The scarcity in the argan tree is how the issue lies. There are so many products out there now which contain argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. But if you check out the label, you’ll find often other ingredients (like silicon) in larger quantities as opposed to actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies have to work hard in order that the availability of argan oil is sustainable and of a top quality, untainted by other oils or substances.

How do you know you will get the real deal? In case you are purchasing a product containing argan oil – check the ingredients. Be aware of ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it must be high up all the ingredients list and ideally, the product should contain as few ingredients as is possible. Greater ingredients that the oil is when combined, the less effective the oil is going to be. In case you are buying pure argan oil, ensure it is within a dark coloured bottle as the light passing by way of a clear bottle can stop working the oil’s chemical properties. Some products that are marketed as argan oil also possess a carrier oil like olive or sunflower oil. Be also aware of the value you happen to be paying. Argan oil does not have to be very expensive but at the same time, it is a rare oil that is labour intensive to generate and thus isn’t usually sold in a ‘giveaway’ price. The most effective argan oil product isn’t just the more costly bear in mind the word, ‘you get that which you pay for’.
