There are the classic Who, What, When, Where and Why with this comic thriller.
The cast of characters are settling looking their new situations. They believe that nothing much must be happening to upset that world, yet, they may be surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue finds authentically as a comedy of errors and misinformation. The idea is not hard enough and simply subtle enough to provide a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing for her “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Currently the three in residence are missing. Ma is really a huge problem over it. She even would go to the neighborhood newspaper once the local police usually do not respond to her fears. She does bring in the out-of-work detective, the brand new editor with the local newspaper and finally the location itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who had previously been named following your town in question, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta has a lot looking for her today, she gets gone to live in the big city, OKC, OK and landed a career with all the local t.v. station. Even if this won’t strengthen your journalistic career, it lets you do get her in the middle of City map and era of the morning. The typical players for Henryetta are Wynona Sue, Henrietta’s hairdresser mother stars in a “reality” show, see later. Her husband, Professor LeHough, an area bug expert is bald from a surprise shaving. Rodney, Henrietta’s boyfriend, camera man buddy and overall companion is pulled and tugged by Henrietta and her immediate boss Miss Peg. Harold Mixon, the dog owner and editor emeritus with the local weekly newspaper, just lately put on the internet is trying to have a pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend with his friends at the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).
The other main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor with the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private eye using a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo since the “reality” show director trying to shot an airplane pilot for the new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, as a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round ancient boy, concerns town to aid in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once they will become involved in the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With an increase of rumors then your facts probably warrant, a few missing girls be plus much more objects of speculation and intrigue while little or no factual facts are given. The rumors begin mild since the missing girls are just searched by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally run up to an important “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading on the news and then the townspeople.
