SBI’s new norms relate to minimum balance requirement in savings banking accounts, amended service charges, new service tax rates, renewed locker fees, charges for availing new cheque books and many more, according to Zee News.

Most prominent of these changed rules matched to customers who hold savings accounts at metro, urban, semi-urban and rural branches. The bank makes mandatory upkeep of minimum balance over these accounts from April 1.
