The majority of Uzbekistan’s population are ethnic Uzbeks, also known as Turkic ethnic groups, however there are significant minority groups of Russians. The bazaars in Uzbekistan are a shoppers’ paradise. The bargaining here is not an everyday thing, it’s also a good laugh. Tashkent’s market, specifically the Chorsu Bazaar are great places to shop for bargains. You can find Soviet memorabilia like as stamps and portraits of Lenin and uniforms for military and caps. Also, you can find local souvenirs such as intricately decorated pottery, bright clothing carpets, rugs and jewellery made from traditional silver. The Bukhara bazaar is among one of the most beautiful, with its fresh produce stalls and smiling people.
