1. A: Hawthorne effect. The name emanates from studies of workers in a factory called Hawthorne Works in early part of the twentieth century. The analysis discovered that when workers know they’re being monitored during an experiment, the outcome from the experiment are generally distinct from those achieved by workers involved in the same experiment who will be unaware actually being monitored.
