A fresh 2016 Christmas rock-POP song has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket web site .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then waiting for the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used session musicians to studio record the tune durring a 6 week period. The songs contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA due to Mark needed the best outcome and quality. The song is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The key purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day web site as we are able to and then we hope in-turn they will be kind enough to help to one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also download the track.
One other definitive goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to help fund and create a Phuket live music cafe with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that will provide free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local colleges and children’s orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to market his track Tsunami Day that was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there is numerous methods to simply help including a Thailand Resort and cheap flights to Phuket booking system. Every dime helps.
